This single loop 35 miler starts in the historic mining town of Canon City, Colorado. Runners' journeys will begin along the beautiful Arkansas River and travel through the historic granite blasted tunnels along Tunnel Drive. From here, runners will begin their steep climb to the highest point of the course at 7,109’ feet. At the top of the climb, runners will be greeted by the expansive views of the Royal Gorge, Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and America’s mountain; Pikes Peak! After many miles of rolling pristine singletrack and incredible views within the Royal Gorge Mountain Park, 35 mile runners will cross the highest bridge in the United States before making their final descent through Temple Canyon. With only 4,500’ feet of elevation gain, this race will certainly have you feeling your fastest! Join us for this inspiring, late season 35 Mile/50k/35k/10k in “The Climate Capital of Colorado!!”
